Gala Masquerade

Our second annual Gala Masquerade event was a huge success.  We raised close to $20,000 and counting for our “Technology Makeover”.

 The focus for the 2018-19 school year will be on improving technology in our classrooms. The Hoover Middle School Technology Makeover is intended to raise funds to update all of our academic classrooms with digital interactive projectors to allow teachers to better facilitate classroom lessons. We currently have 36 academic instructional classrooms.  Our goal is to raise $50,000 this fall to subsidize school budget to complete the first phase of this technology refresh.

8th Grade Activities

Attention 8th Grade Parents:
There will be a formal letter coming home with your student next week, but we wanted to let you know of some exciting new traditions we are starting:
#1. The PTSA has purchased “Class of 2018” t-shirts for your 8th grader (artwork created by our very own Rista White). We are asking for a $5 voluntary donation to help offset the cost of the shirts. Please note that your 8th grader will get one regardless, but if you would like to contribute please click on the link below.

#2. We would like to start an annual tradition of an 8th grade class gift to Hoover. Our dream is to purchase a new display case for the main building’s entry. We estimate this cost to be $2000. If our 8th grade families were to donate $10-20 per family, we would have more than enough. Please note that if we are unable to raise $2000, we will use whatever money is raised to purchase a much needed item on behalf of the Class of 2018.
