Hoover Thursdays in March at Las Cazuelas (Fundraiser)

Come join your Hoover Family at Las Cazuelas every Thursday in March! The restaurant is generously donating 25% back to Hoover Middle School which will go towards supporting our great school! Come hungry, leave full, and enjoy dining out with your family and friends! These will be all day events — the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Spread the word to family and friends.

Important: Let the restaurant know that you are with Hoover Middle School — there will be a form next the cash register where you must sign in for Hoover PTSA to get a donation.

Quad Makeover update

Thanks to everybody who donated and volunteered to support the Hoover PTSA’s Quad Makeover project.  Progress is being made!  Here are a few photos of volunteers assembling some of the new outdoor furniture purchased with the generous donations to the Hoover PTSA.

Disneyland Park Hopper Tickets for 4 Persons Raffle

At Saturday’s Arts on the Green Open House Event, the PTSA will be auctioning off 4 Disneyland 1-Day Park Hopper tickets (see IMPORTANT DETAILS below).

Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each on at Hoover Middle School Arts on the Green Open House, Saturday 9AM to 11:30AM.

You do not need to be present to win.  You must write a legible phone number on your raffle ticket so we can contact you.

An entry in the raffle can also be purchase online using paypal. We will call you if you win the raffle to arrange delivery.

TICKET SALES CLOSED

*** IMPORTANT DETAILS about the tickets ***:

  • Four 1-Day Park Hopper Tickets. $157 value each, $628 total value.
  • Tickets expire March 6, 2019
  • Tickets cannot be upgraded.
  • The winner cannot sell the tickets for profit.

  • The PTSA membership present will vote on the awesome slate of parent & teacher(!) candidates presented by the Nominating Committee.

  • The PTSA has a full slate of officers for next year, but more volunteers are needed for committees and events. Please come to the meeting and find out about these opportunities to contribute.

  • The yearbook staff is hard at work putting together our memories from this school year. Some of our parents take lots of photos at school events and we’d love it they would share them!
  • Would you be able to help us put the word out to parents that we are seeking their Hoover photos? A flash drive left in my mailbox is fine, or a shared folder somewhere in the cloud works well too. As long as I’m invited to view the folder it doesn’t matter where they’re stored.

Welcome back from winter recess!  
Are you receiving Hoover’s Weekly Notes (Parentlink) email and phone message ?
  • The last recorded phone call and email was sent by Hoover principal Don McCloskey 6PM Sunday Feb 26.  If you did not receive it, please call 408-535-6274 or visit the main office and ask to update your contact (Parentlink) email, text and phone contact information!
2017-2018 PTSA Treasurer & Auditor needed
  • Please consider volunteering for the Treasurer or Auditor position for the next school year. Email questions to: hoovermsptsa@gmail.com
  • We have candidates for most key positions for next year, but we still need a Treasurer (and Auditor).
  • It is _required_ that the PTSA have a Treasurer next year, or the PTSA is potentially at risk.
  • Free training is available for the Treasurer and Auditor positions.
  • You will not be on your own! The existing treasurer is termed out, but she will be on the board again next year to help the new treasurer & auditor.

PTSA March meetings:

  • PTSA Board meeting, Monday, March 13 at 7PM. All welcome.
